“ Pleasantly surprised by the tasty food. Servers and host were attentive and cordial. They catered to vegans and non-vegans. The place looks modern and remodeled and it was pretty packed on a weekday but the wait to get seated was not too long as the place is fairly huge. I will return to try more dishes one day. ”

“ Still a 4 star. Came here at opening one day (10:30 on a Sunday). And it's not for the faint of heart. 50 granny's and grampas, shoving into the restaurant as though they'll lose a table (the place seats like...200). Staff stressed. No sense of line or order. There's a requirement of 50% of a party to be present (like IN the room) before you get seated. Madness. Reminds me of old school chinatown. 20 minutes later, lines are gone and the dining room is 80% full. A cacophony of Cantonese and Toisanese increase the noise level, as people talk even louder for their orders. 45 min after opening, people begin to wait for tables. An hour after opening, tables start turning over. It's a credit to the staff to keep it going smoothly. The staff are hit or miss. It depends on if they're training new staff. Some seem to have been here for a while and are efficient. Removing empty plates and trash when walking by. Making the most out of each walk around the space. New staff...not so much. I'm not sure if they're trained at all, but it didn't seem like a good idea to introduce new staff during the weekend rush. Food itself could be hit or miss. I've had some foods that taste almost sour, but I ordered it a different time and it tasted fine. Their ginger scallion lobster noodles are pretty good. They have a special on this - M-F at lunch, if you spend $25, you can add this to your order for $29. Also, good is their chicken feet. ”

“ This our family's favorite neighborhood yum cha place, the food is always good, has a small parking lot which is very helpful. Most importantly, my dad loves this place, roasted squab is his favorite, nicely seasoned, served with a lemon wedge and seasoned salt, tastes the best with a squirt of lemon over the skin, and a ssprinkle of salt, the flavor is addicting. The beed chow fun isn't grease, has the right balance of noodles and veggies, beef has good seasoning. The bun is soft and fluffy, the custard is a bit too sweet for me. The chive dumplings has a nice crispy skin, served hot and juices on a birds nnest. The stuffed bell pepper is typical, but the pepper is way under cooked, I didn't like it. ”

“ The BEST service, hospitality, cleanliness and staff. The food is even better! Quite possibly the best Chinese food I've had in years. I love the fact that I can order vegan options and trust that the dough is free of any dairy or lard as well. We like the vegan dim sum the chow mein and the XO sauce rice noodles. The chili paste is perfect here! I adore this restaurant and it's so worth the drive even late at night! Vegan dim sum all day, yesssss please!!! ”

“ Vegan/vegetarian dim sum is something that I've always wished I could have and now I can! Their menu is extensive and everything was very tasty. Service was quick and we had many plates both dim sum and made to order ready to go within a short period of time. The vegetarian "side" of the dining area is clean and I appreciate that they are conscious about that all together. They do eventually allow non-veg over as the weekends get busy, but there was more than enough room to spread out. Look forward to visiting again with family! ”

“ I went with my wife after running errand in local area. Luckily, I looked at recent reviews and photos and didn't simply go by the average # of stars. Food - solid. numbers below based on taste. Baked Pork Buns 10/10. Soft & fluffy. Pineapple-ish top delivered perfect amount of sweet to complement the savory BBQ pork filling. Very good filling to bread ratio. So good, we ordered some to-go. Yes, more expensive per bun than going to a nearby bakery , but they were worth it -- I'm tempted to take one and tell the kids that they came two to an order only... Chicken Feet w/ Black Bean Sauce - 9/10. Great cook -- fall off of the bone. Savory sauce. Satay Sauce Honeycomb Tripe w/ Daikon - 7/10. Cuts where thicker than I'm used to and therefore had more chew than I'd like. Satay sauce was nice touch though. Fried Beancurd Shrimp Rolls - 6/10. Came with a simple sweet and sour sauce but was over fried and dry. I should have gotten the steamed one instead. Service was quick and staff were nice and helpful. Notably, when I thought they forgot my to-go order and asked, they quickly found it and told me it was at the register for me. Ambiance was GREAT! Why? These nicely decorated, large spaces are a dying breed it seems in many Chinatown areas. Where so many places are simply take out, what a LUXURY to sit down with a nice pot of tea, savor the food and company and have a nice talk. NOT part of the restaurant but I had the good fortune of sitting next to two nice ladies (reminded me of my grandma's friends) whom I chatted with (got a little Cantonese and Taisanese practice) and they gave me good BBQ recommendation down the street. I would definitely come back (and bring more people so we can try more plates). Places like this are treasures... solid recommend. ”

“ Delicious! We were here for the vegan dimsum: * AMAZING turnip cake. I can come back and just order 3 plates of this and be happy. * also amazing: XLB, Shui Mai, Lo Mai Gai * less amazing: har gow, cha sui bun (thought there was too much sweet sauce. Texture of the vegan cha sui was also a bit odd) that said, don't sleep on the non-vegan items too. I'd definitely come back and also get steamed fish. The restaurant inside is clean. Its outside appearance is deceiving. ”

“ Food was great Ordered: Vegan har gow- nicely seasoned, looked like imitation of imitation crab Veg siu mai-looked like they might have used something similar to impossible meat. Was nicely seasoned Coriander rice noodle roll-not too oily, soy sauce was nicely balanced I love that they had an entire vegan/vegetarian menu which if quite rare Other order: Xiao long bao-not as soupy as other places, loved the ginger in it, bigger than other places Beef chow main-big family sized portion, well seasoned, juicy Ordered a veg xiao long bao too but they didn't process that so I didn't get to try it Service was eh They basically only spoke Chinese and only a one or two spoke English to me Vibe was eh Customer at neighboring table kept glaring at us for some reason, not the restaurant's fault but it did contribute to the vibe Nothing outstandingly negative but I would rather order to go if possible Would rate 3.5 if possible cause the service wasn't completely welcoming but if you speak Chinese it would probably be a way better experiences ”

“ When I was little I was a popsicle fan.  I remember staying with my aunt who had a cool Victorian house a couple blocks from the Golden Gate Park.  One day she asked what I wanted for dessert and I asked for a popsicle.  She said ice cream was better and gave me some.  She was right.  Thus began my lifelong quest to find the best ice cream. On this latest trip to San Francisco we met my aunt and her son for lunch at the Imperial Garden Seafood Restaurant.  Place is nice, big, and the staff attentive.  We ordered lots of dishes to share. Har gow had a tasty mix of flavors from the rice wrapper, shrimp, and bamboo shoots. Sui mei had a good amount of shrimp roe as well as a delicious mix of shrimp and pork. Char siu boa had a mild flavored pastry shell and tender char siu in the center.  Delicious mix of sweetness and 5 spice powder flavored char siu. Beef pan fried noodles were almost too lovely to eat.  I'd never seen this preparation before.  There was an outer shell made of rice noodles which were pan fried while inside were more rice noodles cooked chow mein style.  The outer shell noodles were too crunchy to eat.  Needed some brown sauce to soften them up a bit and add some flavor.  Beef was tender and had a delicious flavor. Everyone enjoyed the food here and we will return.  We walked my aunt to where she is currently living in the Portola neighborhood and said our goodbyes till next time. ”
